What's the value of an MBA for today's professionals?

The MBA sets you apart in an increasingly competitive job market. An advanced degree shows that you have the skills necessary to take on any number of projects and responsibilities. The MBA has the added advantage that it is beneficial for any number of careers from starting a small business to leading Global 500 companies.

What's the best advice you could give your students?

We spend a lot of time during our lives at work. Invest in yourself to make sure you have the tools necessary to pursue your passion.

Why did you start teaching?

Before entering a career in higher education, many of my friends and colleagues told me I would be a good teacher. I was given the opportunity to teach a college-level course during my master's program, and with this experience, I knew this was the career I wanted to pursue.

How do you see online learning affecting the future of education?

Online learning provides access. I believe that the online learning environment opens opportunities particularly for working professionals who would not have been previously available. For instance, I have a number of MBA students who travel for work, and they would not be able to pursue a graduate degree in a traditional schedule.

Tell us something interesting about yourself that your students might not know about you.

I enjoy traveling and have visited 17 countries.
